How Payments Work
All payouts start from the deal page and are finalized in the Payout Manager, where you can review and complete payments.
Step 1: Go to the influencer's deal page and head over to their Payouts tab.
This is where you’ll:
Track performance (clicks, sales, commissions)
Add fixed payments if needed
Initiate payouts
Step 2: Add a payment.
If the payment is in regards to a commission, you will already be able to see how much they have earned in the Affiliates tab and in the Payouts tab. No need to add anything extra.
If the payment is for a fixed fee, then click on "Add Fixed Fee" in the Payouts tab, and input the due amount. Comments are optional but recommended for organization purposes!
Step 3: (Only If Needed) Invite the Creator to set up payments.
If you plan to pay through Influencer Hero (via Stripe), the creator must:
Join the Creator Dashboard
Add their payout details
To do this:
Send them an invite to the platform
Wait for them to complete their payment setup
If you’re paying them outside the platform (e.g. PayPal, bank transfer), you can skip this step.
Step 4: Request the payout.
Click on "Request Payout" and input the due amount. This will move the payout into the Payout Manager.
Step 5: Complete the payment.
Go to "Payouts" in the left menu.
Register/process the payment:
Option 1: Pay via Influencer Hero (Stripe)
Select the influencers whose status is "Ready to pay" (everyone in the "Ready to pay" tab)
Click "Bulk pay" and process the payment.
Option 2: Mark as Paid (Offline Payment)
Select the influencers who you have already paid outside of Influencer Hero
Click "Log Offline Payout" and confirm.
Step 6: Track payout status.
In the Payouts tab, you can:
See pending and completed payouts
Track and download past receipts
Monitor total spend across influencers
Once completed, the payout status updates automatically and the balance reflects the remaining amount in the influencer's deal page as well.
Tips to Automate Payouts
There are many things you can do to streamline influencer payouts and make sure you never miss anything.
Payout Settings
Go to "Payouts" in the left menu
Click "Payout Settings" in the top right corner
Here's where you can determine:
Funding methods: by saving a payment method, you can automate payments. You can quickly compare the best method with our estimated fee calculator!
Auto-payouts: because you first need to request a payout to send the information from the influencer's deal page to the Payout Manager, here's where you can choose to have the platform automatically request payouts after a certain thresholdd. You can also choose to fully process a payout automatically, also based on a threshold of your choice.
Receipt notification: never miss a receipt by adding your email (or your accounting team's email for example) to the list.
Bulk Tool
If you want to optimize requesting payouts while still having a say in which influencer you'll be paying (instead of fully automating everything with the Auto-payouts option in the Payout Settings mentioned above), you can use the bulk tool:
Open the Campaign you are working on
Click "Open Bulk Tool" in the top right corner
Select the influencers who you are ready to pay
Manually, or
With filters: only select them based on certain amount of sales/referrals, who has their creator dashboard setup completed, etc
Click "Select Bulk Action" and choose "Request Payout"
Choose a specific amount or to request the payout for every influencers' due balance
The requests will now appear in the Payout Manager so you can finish processing them there.
