Why outreach emails aren't going out

When launching a campaign, we always recommend setting the outreaches per day to 30. This is so you avoid landing in spam by sending out too many emails at once, and to prevent any technical issues such as an email backlog.

This applies especially to those who connect their own accounts (through Gmail, Outlook or SMTP/IMAP integration), as they are more sensitive connections.

What's an email backlog?

When one goes over 30 outreaches per day per email account, an email backlog can be generated and therefore emails aren't sent out until they are fully released. This is why you might see a deal page in the outreach column of your dealflow, but with no email history.

This doesn't mean emails won't go out, but that it will take some time instead, until the backlog reduces.

The backlog is generated to create a "waiting line" for emails, so they can be released slowly and avoid breaking the connection between your email account and Influencer Hero.

You can confirm when you have a backlog and how many emails are waiting in line by going to your Campaign Manager. A message as shown in the image below will provide all the details.

If you indeed have a backlog of emails, then you have a few options:

a) Wait until they can go out and continue your campaign management as usual. This usually takes a few days (depending on the amount of emails waiting to be sent). However, remember to stay below 30 outreaches per day per email account to prevent this from happening again!

b) Change your Sendout Settings: increase your Daily Limit (Gmail/Outlook emails can only be increased to 200 emails per day, this also counts for the follow ups in your outreach email flow)

c) Delete a follow up in your email flow so the amount of emails that are waiting in the backlog reduces (the backlog considers all follow ups, not just the new email for a new influencer)

If you don't have a backlog, but your outreach emails are still not going out, first check that your daily limit isn't set to 0 and that you haven't enabled the Slow Ramp Up at 0. If those are ok, then you can try reconnecting your email by following these instructions.
