Email integration is essential for communicating with influencers, so it’s important to ensure it functions properly.
Why Email Integrations May Break
This issue may arise due to the following reasons:
Google/Outlook detects unusual activity, such as sending too many emails through the integration. The daily limit for total automated emails with an email account (new outreaches + follow ups in your email flow sequence) is 70 by default. But you can always increase it to the max allowed by each provider (Gmail is 200, Outlook is 300). This is why we always recommend 30-50 outreaches per day, especially if you have 3-4 emails in your outreach email flow.
Changes to your account security information, such as password or recovery email updates.
How to Know If Your Email is Disconnected
You receive an email notifying the integration is disconnected
One of your campaigns has a backlog: this doesn't necessarily means the integration is broken, but too many emails going out at once could cause the integration to break. Test the integration by going to Email Settings > Open the email > Click "Send Test"
You get an error message when trying to send an email, and everything else is correct (subject, "To" and "CC" fields are ok, etc).
If scenarios 2 or 3 happen, go to Email Settings and check the following:
Email status shows "Broken" message > Reconnect following the steps down below
Email status shows "Connected" message > Open the email and click "Send Test" > If broken status is then confirmed, proceed with the steps below to reconnect it.
How to Reconnect an Email Account
If you can confirm your email integration has been disconnected, follow these steps to reconnect:
Step 1: Go to Email Settings.
Step 2: Find the email that is disconnected and click on it.
Step 3: Select "Reconnect" and follow the steps to reconnect your Gmail/Outlook account.
