You can now automatically request invoices from influencers and reconcile them with your payouts—no more chasing invoices manually before you can process a payment.
Invoice Settings
Go to Payouts > Payout Settings to configure:
Require invoice before payout: blocks a payout from being processed until an invoice has been requested and accepted for it.
Request invoice on payout request: automatically sends an invoice request to the influencer every time a payout is requested, so you don't have to trigger it manually each time.
Invoice instructions: custom text shown to the influencer when they're asked to upload their invoice (e.g. what to include, tax details, etc.).
How It Works
When an invoice is requested (manually or automatically), the influencer receives a branded Creator Hero email asking them to upload it. Two links are included: one for influencers who want to upload it through their Creator Dashboard account, and one public link so they can upload it without needing an account at all—whichever is easiest for them.
Once submitted, the invoice moves through the following statuses, visible in the Payout Manager:
Waiting Invoice — requested, not yet received
Invoice in Review — the influencer has uploaded it and it's ready for you to check
Invoice Accepted — approved and unlocked for payout
Invoice Rejected — sent back to the influencer with your comments
To review a submitted invoice, click into it from the Payout Manager. From there you can accept and unlock it, or reject it (e.g. if it's missing tax details or otherwise not usable for accounting) and leave a comment—the influencer will then be prompted to upload a corrected version.
If Require invoice before payout is enabled, you won't be able to complete a payout until its invoice has been accepted. This keeps your payout-to-invoice match rate at 100% and keeps your accounting team happy.
Requesting an Invoice from the Deal Page
You can also request an invoice directly from an influencer's deal page: when you click Request Payout, you'll see a "Request Invoice from Influencer" option alongside it.
If Request invoice on payout request is enabled in your Payout Settings, this happens automatically and you won't need to click it yourself.
What the Influencer Sees
Influencers see their invoice requirements and upload option directly inside their Creator Dashboard, under the Payouts page—so everything they need to get paid lives in one place.
💡 PRO TIP: Invoice-related events (requested, submitted, accepted, rejected) are also available as automation triggers, so you can build notifications or follow-up workflows around them—for example, alerting your finance team on Slack whenever an invoice is rejected.
