Influencer Hero integrates with Mailchimp to help you discover creators in your existing email list and seamlessly sync influencer data back to Mailchimp for targeted campaigns.
How to Install
In Influencer Hero, go to Settings → Integrations (or visit https://app.influencer-hero.com/integrations).
Find Mailchimp and click Connect.
You will be redirected to Mailchimp. Log in and authorize Influencer Hero to access your account.
After authorization, you will be sent back to Influencer Hero and the integration will show as Connected.
Once connected, Influencer Hero will automatically sync your Mailchimp subscribers to identify influencers, and you can export influencer profiles directly to your Mailchimp audiences.
What the Integration Enables
1) Discover Influencers Among Your Mailchimp Subscribers
Influencer Hero automatically scans your Mailchimp audiences to identify which subscribers are influencers or creators. This gives you a ready-made pool of potential brand ambassadors who already love your brand and are subscribed to your emails.
The integration identifies:
Subscribers who are influencers on Instagram, TikTok, or YouTube
Their social media handles and platforms
Follower counts and engagement metrics
Profile links and contact information
Identified influencers appear in Influencer Hero's "Your Customers" tab, where you can review and manage them alongside other influencer profiles.
2) Export Influencer Profiles to Mailchimp
Export influencer profiles directly from Influencer Hero to your Mailchimp audiences with one click. This syncs enriched influencer data including:
Social media handles and platforms
Follower counts and engagement metrics
Custom tags for segmentation (for example, "ih_influencer" plus your custom tags)
Merge fields with influencer-specific data
Profile URLs and admin links
How to export:
Navigate to any influencer profile in Influencer Hero
Click the Actions button
Select Export to Mailchimp
Choose the Mailchimp audience you want to add them to
Optionally add a custom tag (for example, "cooking_influencer_US")
Click Export
You can also export multiple influencers at once using bulk actions, or set up automated exports in campaign automation workflows.
3) Build Targeted Email Campaigns for Influencers
Use the exported influencer data in Mailchimp to create targeted segments and personalized email campaigns. The integration adds:
Automatic tagging: All exported influencers are tagged with "ih_influencer" plus any custom tags you specify
Merge fields: Rich data fields including follower counts, platforms, and engagement metrics
Segmentation: Easily filter and segment influencers based on follower count, platform, or custom tags

4) Automatic Contact Syncing
The integration continuously syncs your Mailchimp audiences to identify new influencers as they subscribe. This means:

The sync runs automatically and only processes new or updated subscribers since the last sync, making it efficient even for large audiences.

Troubleshooting
Integration Shows as Disconnected
If the integration shows as disconnected, try reconnecting:
Go to Settings → Integrations
Find Mailchimp and click Disconnect
Click Connect again and re-authorize
No Influencers Found in My Audience
Make sure your Mailchimp audience has subscribers with email addresses
The integration only identifies subscribers who match influencer profiles in Influencer Hero's database
It may take a few minutes for the initial sync to complete
Export Not Working
Ensure you have selected a valid Mailchimp audience
Check that the influencer profile has a valid email address
Verify the integration is still connected via Settings → Integrations
