You can connect your Influencer Hero account to an AI assistant and run your influencer program by chatting: find creators, check your campaign boards, add notes and tasks, pull reports, and more. This guide shows how to set it up in ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini, and what is possible with other tools.
Time needed: about 3 minutes.
Before you start
You need:
An Influencer Hero account on a paid plan.
An AI assistant. In ChatGPT, Influencer Hero is an official app you can find in the app directory. In Claude, Gemini and other tools you add it as a custom connector (also called a "remote MCP server").
For the custom connector route, the one thing you will copy and paste is our connector address:
https://api.influencer-hero.com/mcp
Good to know:
The assistant acts as you. It sees the same brands and has the same role (viewer, member, manager, admin) as your Influencer Hero user. It can never see or change more than you can in the app.
No password sharing. You sign in on our own page and approve the connection. The assistant never sees your password.
Each teammate connects on their own. The connection belongs to the person who approved it.
Connect ChatGPT
Influencer Hero is an official app in ChatGPT, so there is nothing to paste and no developer settings to change. It works in the ChatGPT web app (chatgpt.com) and the mobile and desktop apps. Which plans can use apps depends on OpenAI and your region. On Business workspaces apps are on by default. On Enterprise and Edu workspaces an admin first has to allow the app under Workspace settings > Apps.
Step 1. Find Influencer Hero
In ChatGPT, click Plugins in the sidebar (or open chatgpt.com/plugins, or go to Settings > Plugins).
Search for Influencer Hero and open it.
Step 2. Install and connect
Click Install plugin, then Connect if ChatGPT asks. ChatGPT sends you to Influencer Hero. Sign in if asked, check that the email shown is yours, then click Allow access. You are sent back to ChatGPT and the app shows as connected.
Step 3. Use it in a chat
Start a new chat.
Type @Influencer Hero at the start of your message. You can also click Plugins under the message box and pick Influencer Hero. The plugin page also has ready-made example prompts you can click.
Ask your question, for example: "Which campaign boards do I have, and how many influencers are in each stage of the first one?"
Cannot find the app? Apps are not available on every plan and in every region yet. If the search shows nothing, you can add Influencer Hero by hand instead: go to Settings > Apps & Connectors > Advanced settings, switch on Developer mode, click Create, enter the name "Influencer Hero", the URL https://api.influencer-hero.com/mcp, choose OAuth, and click Create. Then approve the connection as in step 2. This needs a paid ChatGPT plan.
Connect Claude
Works on all Claude plans (Free, Pro, Max, Team, Enterprise), on claude.ai and in the Claude desktop app. The Free plan allows one custom connector.
Step 1. Add Influencer Hero
In Claude, open Settings, then Connectors (under Customize).
Click Add at the top right and choose Add custom connector.
Fill in:
Name: Influencer Hero
Remote MCP server URL:
https://api.influencer-hero.com/mcpClick Continue.
On Team and Enterprise plans, an owner adds the connector once under Organization settings > Connectors. After that, each teammate opens Settings > Connectors, finds Influencer Hero and clicks Connect.
Step 2. Approve the connection
Click Connect next to Influencer Hero. Claude sends you to Influencer Hero. Sign in if asked, check that the email shown is yours, then click Allow access.
Step 3. Use it in a chat
Start a new chat.
Click the + button at the bottom left of the message box, then Connectors, and make sure Influencer Hero is switched on. Add from Influencer Hero in the same menu gives you ready-made prompts, such as "Discover Influencers" or "Analyze Campaign Performance".
Ask your question. The first time Claude uses a tool it asks for permission. Choose Always allow for read-only tools if you do not want to be asked each time.
Gemini and other tools
Gemini app (gemini.google.com)
Google lets you add Influencer Hero as a "custom app" in Gemini Spark. Google currently limits this to people who:
have a paid Google AI Pro or Ultra subscription,
are 18 or older and in the US,
are signed in with a personal Google account (not work or school),
have the Gemini language set to English and Keep Activity turned on.
If you do not see the Custom apps section, one of these is not met or Google has not rolled the feature out to your account yet.
Open gemini.google.com on your computer.
Click Settings at the bottom, then Connected Apps. (If you do not see it, open Personal Intelligence first, then Connected Apps.)
Scroll to Custom apps and click Add a custom app.
Paste
https://api.influencer-hero.com/mcpand click Next. Leave the advanced fields empty.Sign in to Influencer Hero if asked, then click Allow access.
Start a new chat and switch it to Spark (custom apps only work in Spark). Type @, pick Influencer Hero, then ask your question.
To remove it: Settings > Connected Apps, find Influencer Hero under Custom apps, click More details, then Remove app.
Other tools
Using another AI tool? If it supports remote MCP servers with OAuth sign-in, paste https://api.influencer-hero.com/mcp and approve the connection. No API key is needed. If it does not connect, write to [email protected] and we will help.
What you can ask
Write the way you would brief a colleague. Some examples:
Find creators - "Find 10 Instagram fitness creators in the US with 10k to 100k followers." - "Show me a detailed audience breakdown for the first one." - "Add the top 3 to my Summer Launch campaign."
Work your CRM - "How many influencers are in each stage of my Ambassadors board?" - "Show influencers on that board with more than 10k followers who never replied." - "Open @handle's deal and summarise the history and open tasks." - "Add a note 'Agreed on 15% commission' and a task to follow up next Monday." - "Move her to Negotiation and set her discount code to ANNA15."
Outreach - "List my email flows and send the Welcome flow to @handle." - "What emails are scheduled for that deal?"
Content and results - "Show the best performing content from the last 90 days." - "Give me a performance report for June to August across all campaigns." - "Compare my two biggest boards for the last 90 days." - "List pending payouts."
Tip: mention the board, campaign or creator by name. The assistant looks up the right one for you.
Credits
Most actions are free. Three of them use your account's credits, the same as in the app:
Action | Uses |
Searching for creators | Search credits |
Full audience report for a creator | Report credits |
Looking up a creator's contact details | Contact credits |
The assistant tells you before it spends report or contact credits and waits for your OK.
Safety: what it asks before doing
Reading data (boards, deals, reports, content) happens without extra questions. For anything that changes data or reaches a creator, the assistant first shows you exactly what it is about to do and waits for your "yes". This covers:
Sending emails, email flows or products
Adding creators to an outreach campaign
Requesting payouts
Creating or editing deals, notes, tasks, stages, discount codes and links
A few things are not possible through an assistant on purpose: deleting deals (you can archive them instead), exporting all your deals to a spreadsheet (use Bulk tool > Export on the board in the app), and marking payouts as paid. Emails and products are never sent to archived deals.
Disconnect
Remove Influencer Hero from the assistant's settings (ChatGPT: Settings > Apps & Connectors, open Influencer Hero and click Disconnect; Claude: Settings > Connectors; Gemini: Settings > Connected Apps). Access stops right away. You can reconnect any time by following the steps above.
If a teammate leaves, suspending or removing their Influencer Hero user also cuts off their assistant connection immediately.
Troubleshooting
"A valid MCP access token is required" The connection expired or was removed. Disconnect Influencer Hero in the assistant's settings and connect it again.
The approval page does nothing, or I end up on the login page Sign in to Influencer Hero in the same browser first, then click Connect again. Pop-up blockers can also stop the approval window from opening.
It connected, but every request fails Your account needs an active paid plan. The connection itself only checks that your user is active.
"Insufficient permissions. Required role: member" (or manager) Your user role is too low for that action. An account admin can change it under Settings > Team.
Empty results Ask the assistant to list your brands, campaigns and boards first. You may be looking at a brand without data, or the filter may be too narrow.
A big report seems to time out Account-wide reports can take one to two minutes. The report keeps building on our side. Ask the assistant to "check the report again" and it will pick it up.
The assistant does not seem to know a new feature Assistants remember the connector's tool list. Disconnect and reconnect Influencer Hero to refresh it.
The menus look different from this guide ChatGPT and Claude change their settings screens often. Look for "Connectors", "Apps" or "MCP" in settings. The address to paste is always https://api.influencer-hero.com/mcp.
Your data
Connecting means the data you ask for (for example creator names, handles, contact details and CRM notes) is sent to your AI assistant's provider so it can answer you. Only the results of the actions you run are shared, and only for brands your user can access. We do not store your prompts or the assistant's answers.
How the provider handles that data is covered by their own terms: OpenAI, Anthropic. Ours: Influencer Hero privacy policy.
