Communication is key to successful influencer marketing. The goal is to convince as many influencers as possible to collaborate with your brand.
1) Outreach
We recommend using email for outreach. Our platform allows you to set up an outreach flow similar to Klaviyo or Mailchimp, but specifically tailored for influencers. With just one click, you can contact hundreds or thousands of influencers. Combined with our CRM, you can streamline and automate most communication tasks.
Create an Effective Outreach Template: Our platform provides access to A/B tested templates optimized for reply rates. When crafting your outreach email, keep these tips in mind:
Introduction: Personalize your email using data tags, such as the influencer's first name or Instagram handle.
Product Link & Pitch: Include a link to the product you want to promote and a brief pitch highlighting what makes your product and brand unique.
What’s in It for the Influencer: Focus on what the influencer will gain from the partnership. Highlight benefits like the product's retail value, affiliate commission, and discounts for their followers.
Avoid Mentioning Fixed Payments Initially: Some influencers may prefer fixed payments, while others may agree to a product exchange. To reduce ad spend and increase ROAS, start with a combination of product offers, affiliate commissions, and discount codes in your outreach.
Follow-Ups: We recommend 2-3 follow-ups to boost your reply rates. This can typically raise reply rates to around 30-40%, depending on your offer and brand appeal.
2) Negotiation
Our platform allows you to reach many influencers and secure the best deals. If an influencer requests fixed payments, you'll enter the negotiation stage. We suggest having 1 or 2 negotiation templates ready to close the deal with mutually beneficial terms.
Negotiate Terms: Consider offering a fixed fee, increasing the product offering, or adjusting the affiliate commission. Product offerings can be perceived as more valuable than cash payments, which can help increase your closing rate.
Focus on Performance: During this stage, negotiate terms for a single post or a small package. Emphasize that this initial post is to assess the fit with your brand, and larger packages or ambassador programs are available for long-term collaborations.
3) Awaiting Post
After sending the product, wait for the influencer to post. Schedule follow-ups with gentle reminders without being pushy. Allow 1-2 weeks from the product's delivery before following up. If you're not offering a fixed fee, some influencers may not post. Minimize this risk with personalized follow-ups and by ensuring the influencer has a positive experience with your product.
4) Post-Campaign
Once the influencer has posted, analyze the results—more on tracking and measuring success can be found here. Invite high-performing influencers to your ambassador program for long-term collaboration. Use our platform’s dashboard to manage these relationships effectively.
Thank All Influencers: Always thank influencers for their posts, regardless of performance. Low-performing influencers can still be valuable during peak seasons like Black Friday, where even modest influencers can deliver good ROI.
